About the Course
All public classes will be held at the Tinker Business and Industrial Park. All classroom dates meet from 8 a.m. - 4:30 p.m. unless otherwise noted. Registration for all classes closes one week prior to their start date. Online registration is available for most courses. Otherwise, you may contact Registration and Records to sign up at (405) 325-6034.
Lean and Six Sigma Glossary of Terms
As with any specialized field, a vocabulary has developed to speak about process improvement techniques, with some common words acquiring more specialized meanings and many terms from statistics. Please consult this glossary if you get lost in the jargon.
Payment
Registration fees are payable to the University of Oklahoma. To qualify for Early Bird registration rates, a completed registration form and full payment must be received prior to the date listed on the OU Lean Institute website. Payments not received by this date will be charged the normal registration fee. Workshop participants with a balance due will be required to remit payment before the start of a class series, with the exception of those participants paying by government purchase order or JV transfer. A credit card or check will be required on-site for attendees with balances due that have not provided a government purchase order or JV transfer.
Cancellation, No-show, and Refund Policy
Qualified substitutions will be accepted at any time before the first day of class. There are no refunds for cancellation five business days or less before the class start, for non-attendance or for withdrawal after the workshop begins. If registration fees are not paid prior to the cancellation or no-show, you will be billed. If the workshop is canceled by the University of Oklahoma, registrants will receive a full refund.
Cancellations must be received by email (langelotti@ou.edu). Telephone cancellations will not be accepted. Businesses canceling a registered employee must include the employee registered on the cancellation email request for the cancellation request to be valid.
