What is the FAFSA?

The FAFSA opens every October 1*. Be sure to apply early to ensure prompt processing.

It doesn’t cost anything to fill out a FAFSA, and usually takes less than an hour to complete. Remember, to receive aid, you must have full and clear admission into the program.

*Note: For the 2023/2024 academic year, the FAFSA will not open until December due to changes from the U.S. Department of Education.

  •  OU Federal School Code: 003184
  •  Social Security number
  •  Driver's license
