Need help paying for your degree? OU College of Professional and Continuing Studies wants our programs to be accessible to as many students as possible, and scholarships are a great way to reduce your costs. If you’ve been admitted to the University of Oklahoma, you may be eligible for a scholarship.

Scholarships for College of Professional and Continuing Studies students range from $500 to $1,900 per semester and are based on financial need and academics. 

SCHOLARSHIP APPLICATION SCHEDULE

  • Fall applications open July 15 and close September 7
  • Spring applications open December 15 and close February 2
  • Summer applications open April 29 and close May 15

*NOTE: Individual scholarships have varying requirements. Please read the scholarship description thoroughly before you apply. If you have already received a scholarship once you are not eligible to receive that same scholarship again.

Start-Up Scholarship

Criteria: 

  • Must have fewer than 12 hours in an OU College of Professional and Continuing Studies undergraduate degree program
  • Enrolled during awarding semester
  • Must have a minimum 2.75 GPA
  • Demonstrate financial need

Alumni Scholarship

Criteria: 

  • Must have at least 12 College of Professional and Continuing Studies hours in the undergraduate degree program
  • Enrolled during awarding semester
  • Must have a minimum 3.0 GPA in College of Professional and Continuing Studies hours

Osher Reentry Tuition Waiver

Criteria: 

  • Minimum 2.0 cumulative GPA in previous coursework
  • At least five years out of school
  • Full-time or part-time enrollment
  • At least 50% of the awarding semester’s enrollment or at least 50% of the sum of previous OU enrollment, including the awarding semester, is in on-site or hybrid coursework
  • Demonstration of academic promise and commitment to obtaining an undergraduate degree
  • Demonstration of financial need (Please attach the first page of your Student Aid Report (SAR) from your FAFSA)
  • Student is expected to participate in the workforce following graduation
  • Can be awarded multiple semesters.

A.R. Bert Larason Public Service Scholarship

Criteria

  • Applicants must be enrolled full time
  • Applicants must have a major course of study in Administrative Leadership, Criminal Justice, Lifespan Care Administration, or Integrative Studies
  • Applicants must demonstrate leadership ability
  • Applicants must have a cumulative GPA of 3.25 or above
  • Applicants must be classified as seniors in the year of the award.  
  • Applicants from Oklahoma will be given preference, but all applicants will be considered.  

Note: This scholarship is awarded once each academic year. The applicaton opens on October 1st and closes on February 1st for disbursement the following academic year.

Olga Theresa Brioli Scholarship

Criteria: 

  • Degree-seeking single mothers
  • Enrolled full-time during awarding semester
  • Undergraduates 3.0 GPA in at least 12 College of Professional and Continuing Studies hours
