Each award is a tuition waiver that will be applied to your Bursar account. Four undergraduate students and two graduate students are chosen to receive the scholarship each fall and spring semester.
Please note the Start-up Scholarships are only available for students enrolled in an OU Extended Campus degree program. Unfortunately, scholarships are not available at this time to students seeking only a graduate certificate.
Who it’s for: Undergraduate and graduate students who have completed 12 hours or more at PACS

Graduate Olga Theresa Brioli Scholarship Application
Quick facts: The Olga Theresa Broili scholarship was made possible by a gift from Dr. Gene Walker in honor of his mother. This scholarship helps single mothers with college expenses in the form of a $500 tuition waiver.
Awards are made based on merit and consideration of financial need and can only be received once per student.

Who it’s for: Undergraduate students returning to school after a five-year gap in their education (including the period of time between high school and college). Student must be pursuing their first degree and be taking at least 50% of their OU courses onsite.

OSHER Criteria:
The Osher Foundation set forth requirements to be eligible. Students must meet all criteria to be eligible for consideration.
Osher Reentry Tuition Waiver Application
Quick facts: The Osher Reentry Scholarship Tuition Waiver, accepts applications each Fall semester, was established at OU in 2005 to help students who have experienced an interruption in their education. This tuition waiver awards students who have returned to finish their degree after an absence of five or more years. This tuition waiver is intended to benefit students who have considerable years of employability ahead of them—ideally aged 25 to 50.
Awards are made based on your financial need, academic promise, and evident commitment to completing the degree. If awarded, students may apply to receive the OSHER tuition waiver again. Please check our website to see if you qualify.
Please note the OSHER Reentry Scholarship is only available for students enrolled in an OU degree program. Unfortunately, scholarships are not available at this time to students seeking only a graduate certificate.
Who it’s for: OU Extended Campus undergraduate and graduate students in law enforcement who went through the FBI National Academy Associates program. Applicants should be currently working in a criminal justice field, have completed a minimum number of hours in their PACS program (varies per degree level) and meet the minimum GPA requirements (3.25 for undergraduate students and 3.5 for graduates).

Two $750 scholarships for OU Extended Campus undergraduate students and two $850 scholarships for PACS graduate students are awarded each year. Students may receive this scholarship only once.

A.R. Bert Larason Public Service Scholarship Criteria

A.R. Bert Larason Public Service Scholarship Application
What it’s about: The A.R. Bert Larason Public Service Scholarship awards students who are pursuing degrees that involve social work. The scholarship was established by Margaret Larason, Timothy Larason, Anne Larason Schneider, and Linda Larason Edmondson to honor their husband and father, A.R. “Bert” Larason. Bert Larason was from Fargo, Oklahoma, and graduated from OU in 1930. The award can only be received once per student.

Who it’s for: Undergraduate Aviation students who meet eligibility requirements

Scholarship Amount: $1,000
