Need help paying for your degree? OU Extended Campus wants our programs to be accessible to as many students as possible, and scholarships are a great way to reduce your costs. If you’ve been admitted to the University of Oklahoma, you may be eligible for a scholarship.

Scholarships for Extended Campus students range from $750 to $1,900 per semester and are based on financial need, academics, and emergency assistance. 

SCHOLARSHIP APPLICATION SCHEDULE

  • Fall applications open July 15 and close September 7
  • Spring applications open December 15 and close February 2
  • Summer applications open April 15 and close May 15

Please note all scholarships listed below are only available for undergraduate students enrolled in an OU Extended Campus School of Aviation Studies degree program. 

Students must meet all listed criteria to be eligible for these scholarships. 

Applications are accepted September 7 for Fall semesters and December 15 for Spring semesters.

Scholarship amounts range from $500 to $1,500

Tom Clark Scholarship

Criteria: 

  • Minimum Overall 2.50 GPA.
  • Must be a Full-Time OU Aviation major enrolled in a minimum of 12 credit hours.
  • Leadership activities and need will be a factor when selecting the awardee.
  • No scholarship can be awarded to or for the direct benefit of the donor or any member of the immediate family of the donor.

Joe Coulter Scholarship

Criteria: 

  • Minimum Overall 2.80 GPA.
  • Declared Aviation major for one year at OU.
  • Display leadership and initiative as evidenced by extracurricular activities, awards and honors.
  • Flight fees cannot be covered by another scholarship.

Margie Richison Women's Aviation Scholarship

Criteria: 

  • Must be a female student enrolled in the OU Aviation Program.
  • Must be a holder of a Class III Medical at time of application.
  • Must have completed a solo flight.
  • Must not be the donor or an immediate family member of the donor.

Flight Time Scholarship

Criteria: 

  • Have completed one full year as an OU Aviation major.
  • Be in good academic standing with a minimum 2.50 overall GPA, and a 3.00 major GPA.
  • Sophomore through senior standing.
  • High moral character with history of integrity.
  • Flight fees cannot be covered by another scholarship or program.
  • Professional Pilot or Aviation Management student currently enrolled in a credit flight course.

Winifred Adams Holland Scholarship

Criteria: 

  • Minimum Overall 2.80 GPA, and a 3.00 Major GPA.
  • Declared Aviation major (flying or non-flying) for one year at OU.
  • Display leadership and initiative as evidenced by extracurricular activities, community service, awards and honors.

Lindy Ritz ATC Scholarship

Criteria: 

  • Minimum Overall GPA 3.00.
  • Minimum Major GPA 3.25.
  • Declared Air Traffic Management major, or other Aviation major with an ATC minor may be considered.
  • Service to the Aviation Department and the community.
  • Participation in Aviation student groups will be considered when evaluating applications.
  • Submit a resume, cover letter and one faculty member letter of recommendation.
  • Submit a brief narrative expressing your aviation goals, career objective, why you feel you deserve the award and how you will use it.
  • Must be an active member of an OU Aviation Student Club/Organization, such as AAAE, NIFA, SAC or SATCA, and provide a memo/email from the Faculty Sponsor attesting to this fact.
