The OU College of Professional and Continuing Studies is a leader in nontraditional education, with more than 50 years of experience in combining innovation and flexibility to support the educational needs of our law enforcement students. As a non-profit college, the college is dedicated to providing Officers a quality education experience through 100% online undergraduate and graduate degree programs. Â
The College of Professional and Continuing Studies understands the dynamics of being both a student and a service member. That’s why we provide an extensive support system of staff members whose principle focus is to help you succeed academically, professionally, and personally.
Your first line of support is your academic advisor, who functions as your personal advocate for issues related to program requirements, course materials, university policies, and anything else that may impact your academic experience. If you are a military veteran, you have the added support of our experienced staff who will help you navigate the policies and resources specific to your military status.
To help you succeed as an online learner, our dedicated distance-learning librarian and reference staff members provide research assistance via email, phone, and chat.
Other key staff members include your Tuition and Support Services Team members, who can guide you through all the up-front processes and details surrounding program admissions, transfer credits, tuition waivers, and financial aid.
OU College of Professional and Continuing Studies offers Homeland Security Law Enforcement (HSLE) officers a nonresident tuition waiver for courses to all non-resident students who are affiliated with Homeland Security as a Law Enforcement Officer. All students desiring to take advantage of the HSLE tuition waiver must submit the HSLE Tuition Waiver Application.Â
This is a one-time application and the nonresident tuition waiver benefit will carry with the student throughout the remainder of his/her academic career. There is no need to resubmit documentation each semester.
Please see our Tuition and Fees page for current rates with the military tuition and fee waiver.
*Note: The non-resident military tuition and fee waiver can only be applied to College of Professional and Continuing Studies undergraduate courses in Integrative Studies, Life Span Care, Criminal Justice, and Organizational Leadership. This waiver does not currently apply to OU Online or courses offered by any of the other colleges at the University of Oklahoma.
