Dr. Roden is the Academic Program Director for OU Extended Campus. She had been with OU since 2013, working with subject matter experts and lead faculty to develop new curricula and assess current course accreditation standards. Additionally, she is the liaison between the faculty, many of who are distance instructors, and the Academic Technology team in developing online courses. She has taught the Study-In-Depth Prospectus and Conflict Resolution undergraduate courses and Introduction to Graduate Studies and Qualitative Research graduate courses. She also serves as an instructional designer and the adult learner teaching consultant for online learners for the OU College of Law’s Master of Legal Studies Indigenous Peoples program. 

Kathryn earned a bachelor’s degree in communication from OU and a master’s degree in communication disorders from the OU Health Sciences Center. She has more than 20 years’ experience working as a speech-language pathologist and educational consultant. She returned to OU as an adult learner for her M.ED. in adult and higher education and her Ph.D. in educations leadership and policy studies.
