  • Example of scholarly work such as a research paper, project, or article submitted for a professional conference or journal. Scholarly work includes a bibliography or works referenced, presented in an accepted format (e.g. APA).
  • Articulation of research interest in a two-page statement that includes, with as much specificity as possible, research you are considering for your dissertation.
  • Minimum of three letters of recommendation (to include both academic and professional references) scanned and uploaded to the application. Letters may be addressed to the "PhD Committee Chair".
  • Official transcripts of both previous graduate and undergraduate work (please ensure all previously used names are listed on application). Transcripts should be sent from each of the institutions attended directly to Registration and Records; University of Oklahoma; 1700 Asp Ave.; Norman, OK; 73072.
  • Millers' Analogies Test (MAT) or Graduate Record Exam (GRE) results (not more than five years old). The OU FICE code is 003184. Address per above.
