As a protective measure against the spread of COVID-19, Spring 2020 convocation and many recognition ceremonies have been postponed or canceled. The University of Oklahoma is actively exploring ways we can honor our graduates and their achievements at an appropriate time. Updates will be communicated and posted on this page as soon as they are available. For additional questions or more information, please contact your site director.

OU WILL HOLD A VIRTUAL COMMENCEMENT CEREMONY AT 7 P.M. ON FRIDAY MAY 8, 2020

What is a virtual ceremony?

A virtual ceremony has many of the same components of a live ceremony, which you and your guests will view online. During the ceremony, your name will be announced as your photo and degree are displayed. We encourage you to wear your cap, gown, and accessories for your photo submission. Additional information about the virtual ceremony is forthcoming.

What if I don’t want to participate in the virtual ceremony?

All May 2020 graduation candidates – whether you participate in the virtual ceremony or not –  may attend the rescheduled Spring 2020 convocation graduation ceremonies, scheduled for Saturday, August 8, and Sunday, August 9, in the Lloyd Noble Center.

To register or for more information please go to ou.edu/commencement or email commencement@ou.edu.
