Sandy Gannon, longtime receptionist and executive assistant at the College of Liberal Studies, retired at the end of 2011 after 23 years of service.
Gannon began working at the College of Liberal Studies on Nov. 28, 1988. Her dream of earning her college degree was fulfilled when she graduated in May 1995 with her Bachelor of Liberal Studies. Gannon served the College as the assistant to the associate dean and as office/budget/payroll manager.
“My favorite part of my job was working convocation Saturdays,” she said. “It was always an enriching experience to see the excitement of our graduates and their families. They are the reason I enjoyed working at the university.”
Update: The College of Liberal Studies was renamed the College of Professional and Continuing Studies in 2017.
