A video project developed by the OU Sooner Flight Academy and students from OU Gaylord College of Journalism won a Broadcast Education Association Best of Festival award.
Sooner Flight Academy received an Aerospace and Aviation Education Program grant to help fund the Aviation Science in the Classroom Program project.
James P. Pappas was recently awarded an honorary title from the University of Bucharest, Romania for his contributions to lifelong learning.
Gabe Ikard, CLS student and National Scholar-Athlete, was instrumental in earning OU recognition for its commitment to excellence in student athletes.
Ellen Moir has been named 2014 Brock International Prize in Education Laureate for her work in improving student learning by accelerating the effectiveness of teachers and school leaders.
CLS alum Katie Ward, was invited to the Institute for Economic Empowerment of Women (IEEW) fundraiser and roundtable discussions to speak to women visiting from Afghanistan and Rwanda about her service and advocacy activities that help advance the status of women locally and worldwide.
The annual faculty meeting and awards took place in April and three deserving faculty members received recognition for their hard work.
University of Oklahoma Outreach has been named one of the top organizations offering continuing education in okcBIZ magazine’s annual Best of Business awards. OU Outreach finished in second place in the “Best Adult Education / Professional Development Institution” category.
