The OU Sooner Flight Academy, an aviation education program provided by the University of Oklahoma Department of Aviation and University Outreach, has begun registration for its five-day, hands-on youth summer flight camps.
Children ages six through 18 are eligible to attend and camps are divided into ten age groups with activities and materials that are developmentally appropriate. OU’s Academy Navigators help campers explore and experiment as they engage in hands-on activities that demonstrate the science, technology, engineering, and math of the exciting world of flight.
Visit https://flightcamp.ou.edu/en/summer-camp/ to learn more about dates and prices and to register online. Space for the camps is limited, so please register as soon as possible. Scholarships/financial assistance for the OU Sooner Flight Academy summer flight camps are available, with applications due May 1. The scholarships are funded by a grant through the Oklahoma Aeronautics Commission and others. More details, including application information, are available at https://flightcamp.ou.edu/en/faq/scholarships/.
