Members of the OU Aviation family enjoyed brilliant weather and a festive atmosphere at their annual Fall Kick-Off and Hot Dog Burn at Max Westheimer Airport on the opening day of the Fall 2018 semester. Both returning and new students shared in a free lunch and engaging conversation alongside faculty and department and airport staff and got a first-hand look at a pair of spectacular business aircraft that were on display.

Envoy Airlines pilots Captain John Colquitt and Captain Kevin Dinsmore met with students, discussed their experiences as professional pilots and shared information about the opportunities for new pilots and aviation professionals. Throughout the afternoon, about 180 individuals stopped by for a bite to eat, to catch up with friends—both old and new—and enjoy a great day.
