The OU College of Professional and Continuing Studies and the NFL Alumni Association have announced a new program to provide online courses and specializations for NFL Alumni Association employees, members, alumni and their spouses through OU’s WorkSooner program.
Through the new collaboration, NFL Alumni Association employees, members and spouses who enroll in a WorkSooner certificate, course or specialization will receive a 15% discount on all WorkSooner courses and have unlimited access to the entire Coursera class catalog.
“We are thrilled to be able to offer members and their spouses the opportunity to earn certified credentials that will allow them to compete for in-demand jobs after their days on the gridiron are done.”
Members will also receive customized guidance from a WorkSooner advisor who will ensure each individual receives curricular advice designed to help them pursue their unique educational goals through OU’s online learning partnership with Coursera, as well as additional learner support, including resume development, interview tips, job search coaching and contact with employer networks and workforce development boards.
“A National Football League career is just the first of the professional opportunities most NFL Alumni Association members will encounter after college,” said Melissa Archer, WorkSooner program director. “We are thrilled to be able to offer members and their spouses the opportunity to earn certified credentials that will allow them to compete for in-demand jobs after their days on the gridiron are done.”
Members who complete a program through WorkSooner will receive an OU branded certificate and a Coursera certificate of completion.
