OU Veterans Enjoy SVA Howdy Luncheon

The annual Student Veterans Association Howdy Luncheon welcomed military-connected students and student veteran supporters back to campus for the start of the fall semester on Wednesday, Aug. 21, with a good meal, lots of friendly faces and valuable information for navigating federal Department of Veterans Affairs assistance.

Staff members from OU Extended Campus were also in attendance to welcome both new and current students at the event, which took place at the OU Student Veterans Association lounge.

Members of the OU Student Veterans Association, part of the University of Oklahoma Veteran’s Support Alliance, are the "boots on the ground” that help veterans reintegrate into campus life and succeed academically by providing a peer-to-peer network for veterans who are attending the university.
