University of Oklahoma Continuing Legal Education will host the 2014 Legal Issues in Higher Education Summit on September 30 at the Oklahoma Memorial Union on the University of Oklahoma Norman campus.
This one-day event will address a variety of topics related to legal and higher education issues, including FERPA, ethics rules, campus safety, veterans benefits, immigration and more. The opening plenary speaker is Professor Rick Tepker from the OU College of Law and the keynote presentation will be given by Attorney General Scott Pruitt. Higher education administrators, counselors, paralegals, student service providers and other members of the higher education community are all encouraged to attend.
This conference is sponsored by the Oklahoma State Regents for Higher Education. Early bird registration is $120 and is open through September 10, after which the full registration price is $135. The registration fee includes all conference materials and two meals. Participating attorneys should note that attending the conference counts as 5.0 MCLE credits from the Oklahoma Bar Association.
