The University of Oklahoma is now accepting registrations for the Certified Associate in Project Management (CAPM) preparation course running November 21-23 on the Norman campus.
CAPM is offered through the OU Project Management Program, which is a series of four noncredit professional development workshops and prep courses. CAPM will benefit individuals who want to understand project management, learn the difference between project and program management or are seeking to become a Project Management Institute (PMI) certified associate or professional.
The OU CAPM prep course helps participants prepare for PMI’s Certified Associate in Project Management exam. Participants will learn about terminology and important processes required for the exam. The course satisfies 23 PMI required hours and is ideal for individuals new to project management and those who hold or are seeking mid-level project management positions. OU Project Management Program workshops are taught by a credentialed project management professional with practical experience in bringing project teams together from diverse departments, skill levels and disciplines.
Participants will receive a certificate of completion for each workshop and qualify for professional development and Project Management Institute hours. This course requires no previous experience other than the realization that what they do as managers is most likely project management. The fee for each course includes all course materials.
