It was another blue-sky start to the year for Aviation students, thanks to the annual Fall Kick-Off and Hot Dog Burn. Students were able to mix and mingle with their classmates, faculty members and program graduates over a free lunch and in the shadows of an Envoy Regional Jet.
Envoy Captain Taylor Hinkley and First Officer Jay Herring flew the jet in (during the solar eclispe!) and were able to stay a few hours, giving students a first-hand view of the flight deck and sharing information about the career of an Envoy airlines pilot. In addition, OU graduates and Envoy pilots Harrison Scott and Josh Thomas met with more than 50 new OU Aviation freshmen, transfer students and other aviation students who attended the event.
