Beginning January 2014, the Osher Lifelong Learning Institute (OLLI at OU) will be offering courses in Oklahoma City for students who might not be able to make it to the Norman campus.
Currently, OLLI at OU offers various noncredit courses and programs for older adults, age 50+, on the OU Norman Campus. Offerings on the Norman campus include the OU Book Club, Mornings with the Professor, Elderlearn and, most popular, Senior Seminars. OKC programs currently planned are Mornings with the Professor and Senior Seminars, both of which would include different topics than their Norman counterparts.
OLLI at OU courses in OKC are scheduled to be held on the OU Health Sciences Center campus, at the Samis Education Center. The new facility boasts the latest learning technology and will have easy parking for OLLI members. The courses are scheduled in the spring semester, some as early as January 2014. OLLI courses are open to anyone age 50+ and membership is required in order to enroll in classes.
