Lean Six Sigma Certification Courses Open for Registration

Lean Six Sigma Certification Courses Open for Registration

Have you ever wondered why companies like Amazon and Ford aren’t just good, but great? Part of that success can be attributed to utilizing Lean Six Sigma processes to run their organizations effectively.

The OU Lean Institute has been offering Lean Six Sigma certification classes for 17 years, serving both public and private entities. The Lean Six Sigma certification provides individuals with high-level problem-solving and analytical skills, allowing them to improve the businesses where they work.

As a continued COVID-19 safety precaution, the June and August LSS White Belt workshops and the LSS Green Belt July Define/Measure class may potentially be instructed live via Zoom.

As workplaces and industries have evolved, the OU Lean Institute has also. While the tools are the same, the examples and exercises are adjusted according to the types of students taking the class. So, if you’re wondering if a Six Sigma certification is still relevant or useful today, the answer is yes.

Registration is currently open for the Lean Six Sigma White Belt course, which begins June 2. The entry-level course is ideal for those with no prior experience in process improvement or team members supporting Green and Black Belts implementing a process improvement project. The cost is $300. Register by May 16 and save $25.

Registration is also open for the Lean Six Sigma Green Belt course, which begins in July. This more in-depth training includes 12 days of classroom work spread out over four months. The cost is $3,300. Register by June 16 and save $150.

All public classes will be held at Tinker Business and Industrial Park. Classes meet from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. unless otherwise noted. Registration for all classes closes one week prior to the start date.
