Highlights from the WorkSooner, NFL Alumni Association Event

The OU College of Professional and Continuing Studies’ WorkSooner program celebrated the creation of the Oklahoma Chapter of the NFL Alumni Association Saturday, Sept. 25, with a special event at Headington Hall during OU’s game against West Virginia.

Beasley Reece, CEO of the NFL Alumni Association, was present on the field for an announcement introducing the new chapter during pre-game festivities, alongside Dr. Martha Banz, dean of the College of Professional and Continuing Studies, and OU alumnus Rickey Brady, Oklahoma Chapter president. Also on the field for the announcement were Will Shields, Oklahoma Chapter vice president and member of both the college and pro football halls of fame, and Billy Davis, president of international affairs for the NFL Alumni Association.

The event was organized by Melissa Archer, WorkSooner program director, and Charlynn Estes, associate director, who worked with the NFL Alumni Association to organize the event.
