How long does the Admissions’ process take? 

Once Admissions receives all application materials, they usually reach a decision within two-three weeks. The review process may take longer due to low GPA, or less than 24 hours.

What are the required application materials? 

Materials required are the online application; ALL official transcripts from previously attended institutions, and the $40.00 application fee. 

I do not have either a 2.0 GPA, 24 credit hours, or both. Can I still be admitted? 

Admission to Extended Campus – Online is determined on a case-by-case basis. Applicants who do not meet one or both requirements will go through our Under Gradual Referral (UGRF) process. During the UGRF process, applicants will send supplemental materials to demonstrate the potential for success in our bachelor’s program. Supplemental materials consist of a current resume, 300-500 word Statement of Goals, and two letters of professional reference. 

Please note: OU Extended Campus – Online representative will ask for supplemental materials after submission of an undergraduate application. It is encouraged to gather materials as soon as possible because UGRFs take longer to process. 

UGRF Applicants: Decisions can take up to 4 weeks. 

Will my hours transfer to OU? 

Credit hours from a regionally accredited institution will transfer to OU.  

Please note: OU rarely accepts or recognizes nationally accredited hours. 

Will military credits transfer to OU Extended Campus-Online? 

Depending on your military experience and education, you may be eligible to receive academic credits applied towards your OU degree.

What if my last school has all of my prior transfer work, do I still need to submit official transcripts from all institutions I attended? 

Yes. OU requires ALL transcripts from ALL previously attended institutions. 

I previously attended OU. Do I need to submit an official transcript? 

If OU was the last school attended, you do not need to provide transcripts for OU or any institution prior to attending the university. If you attended a university/college after OU, you will need to submit those transcripts to Extended Campus Registration and Records.

Can I have the application fee waived?

Typically, the OU Extended Campus does not waive application fees. If you are interested in submitting a request for an application fee waiver, please contact pacsregistration@ou.edu
