Experience tradition. Expect success.

The first step to becoming a Sooner is to apply! Each application is read thoroughly, thoughtfully, and fairly to evaluate all-around excellence.

  1. Apply
  2. Be admitted
  3. Get advised and enroll

Still have questions about admissions? Check the Graduate Admissions FAQ.

Step One: Apply

  1. A bachelor’s degree, equivalent, or higher from a regionally accredited institution.
  2. Other admission requirements, including but not limited to GPA, letters of recommendation, statement of purpose, and resume may also be required. For more information, please contact the department to which you are applying.

To apply for admission to a OU Extended Campus graduate program, complete the OU application and submit the $50 application fee. If you are a current OU employee, contact OU Extended Campus Registration and Records to inquire about an application fee waiver.

After we receive and review all of the required materials, the application is forwarded to the Graduate College of the University of Oklahoma for final review and official admission.

When applying, be prepared to upload all required materials (degree conferring transcripts and other materials as requested by the academic department, such as a statement of goals). The application fee is mandatory for submission.

For the application process, you may upload a copy of your transcript which shows your degree posted. Uploading an unofficial transcript helps expedite the admission process. However, the University of Oklahoma requires your official transcript soon after admission. See Step Two for details.

Graduate Application

Step Two: Send Official Transcripts

If you are offered admission and accept our offer of admission, you are required to submit an official transcript from the college or university at which you have earned your most recent degree.

An official transcript should be submitted within 30 days of admission in order to receive provisional admission. Provisional admission is available to first-time Extended Campus North America and Europe applicants who have been awarded an undergraduate degree from a regionally accredited institution. Provisional admission provides applicants an opportunity to enroll in up to three credit hours of coursework while completing the admission process.

Transcripts should be sent to:

OU Extended Campus Registration and Records

ATTN: Transcripts

1700 Asp Avenue, Room B-1

Norman, OK 73072-6400

If the colleges or universities offer electronic transcripts, you may request that the paperless version be sent directly to pacsregistration@ou.edu.

Please select Advanced Programs for Extended Campus North America or Europe, and if you are enrolling in a fully online program, choose Liberal Studies as your campus (NOT Norman or Tulsa Campus).

Extended Campus North America and Europe have rolling admissions with applications accepted year-round.

*The University of Oklahoma campus closes for Winter Break. Applications are not processed during this time.
