Master in Prevention Science

The Master in Prevention Science no longer accepts applications and is being phased out by the OU College of Professional and Continuing Studies.

33 credit hours required

Recommended enrollments are six hours fall and spring semesters, three hours in the summer.

A minimum grade point average of 3.0 is needed for graduation.

LSTD 5003 Intro to Graduate Interdisciplinary Studies* (three hours)
LSTD 5013 Interdisciplinary Foundation (three hours)
LSTD 5043 Research Methods in Interdisciplinary Studies OR LSTD 5083 Qualitative Research Methods (three hours)
LSPS 5113 Foundations in Prevention Science (three hours)
LSPS 5133 Prevention Across the Lifespan (three hours)
LSPS 5173 Program Development, Implementation, and Evaluation (three hours)

All core courses must be completed prior to taking electives. Courses must be taken in the order listed.

*NOTE: LSTD 5003 and LSTD 5013 must be taken as your first courses
